Welcome to PuppyMillWatch.org!

Welcome to PuppyMillWatch.org! This idea and site was inspired by members of The Hotdog Blog! , who over the last couple of years have worked hard to bring an end to the suffering of the many dachshunds who have the misfortune of finding themselves subjects or products of the commercial dog breeding industry.

Once we learned of the terrible circumstances of abuse of these dachshunds, we could not simply limit ourselves to our favorite breed. Instead, the mission necessarily expanded to protect all dogs from this abuse.

Please join us in our mission to educate dog lovers and dog owners about the abuses of the commercial dog breeding industry so that one day all dogs may live healthy and happy lives.

You can judge the size of a mans heart by his treatment of animals.

Well done Todd, I hope this site goes from strength to strength like THDB has done.

I hope other breeds come on board too.

It is so sad that a site like this is needed.

One can only wonder what people who run puppy mills are thinking... how can they be so heartless?

All paws against puppy mills!

Thanks for making such a informative site,   I hope someday maybe places like this won't be needed, but in the meantime I hope this site grows like The Hot Dog Blog has.

Hi I applaud your efforts. but I hope you dont mind a little advice. Your message is not getting out. I inadvertly bought a puppy mill puppy, I bought a dog from a pet store, his history per the pet store was that he was from an Amish farm. I thought like many do that buying from a pet store insured that I was getting a dog from a reputable breeder. My daughter inadvertly bought a puppy from a puppy mill too. She purchased a dog off the internet. We now know both of us have unwittingly supported this cruel business.

Somehow the word has to get out, this website is a start. But where is the Humane society. Cant they put ads on TV to warn people. What aboout the AKC why dont they spend some of the money they collect to educate the public? Time to put some pressure on these big orginizations to step up to the plate and educate people on where these dogs are really coming from. When the public becomes educated the market will dry up - hence the problem will disapear.

Well thats my two cents, I am heartened to see websites like this springing up. Keep up the good fight.
